Antique engraved bronze tripod Censer (Ming)

Large antique engraved bronze tripod Censer Ming translation on 4 panel Mark on base.

24cm H x 26 Diameter and weighs 5.14kg. Exceptional condition given age and marks indicate it has been used over an extended period.

Fine large panel engravings on 2 panels depict the same farming scene with 2 Chinese figures, a scholar with a book on an ox and a second figure holding a basket. The censer is cast with a compressed globular body flanked by two loop handles. The base is cast with a four-character mark translation including the word Ming.  Censers are used for incense burning and generally found at the entrance of temples.
